4 September 2004 – the first Lithuanian school “4 vejai” (Four winds) is established in Dublin by the then-unofficial Lithuanian Association in Ireland (Lithuanian abbreviation – ALB)
24 December 2004 – Lithuanians in Ireland are mentioned for the first time in the report of foreign policy of Lithuania
26 January 2005 – The Lithuanian Association in Ireland Limited is registered by the Irish Companies Registration Office
4 February 2005 – ALB meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Lithuania Mr. A. Valionis took place in Dublin
8 May 2005 – members of ALB take part in the conference “New emigration” in Vilnius
15-17 June 2005 – members of ALB Dublin “4 Vejai” school take part in the first convention of European Lithuanian communities and their Lithuanian schools “Draugystes Tiltas” (Bridge of Friendship) in Sigtuna, Sweden
2 July 2005 – members of ALB take part in round table discussion “Brain and Talent Drain: New Challenges for Lithuania”, which was held in Berlin, Germany
27 September 2005 – The first convention of ALB is held in Dublin
13 November 2005 – Banga, the Lithuanian school in Cork, is opened
December 2005 – The first awards of “Geriausia, ką turime Airijoje” (The Best That We Have in Ireland) are presented in a dedicated event in Monaghan
11 February 2006 – Lithuanian school in Dundalk is opened
24-27 February 2006 – Many activities of ALB are featured in the FAS event in Dublin
25 March 2006 – Lithuanian school in Galway is opened
17 April 2006 – The Chairman of the Lithuanian World Community Mr. G. Zemkalnis visits Dublin
22 April 2006 – The ALB meets the President of Ireland Mary McAleese in the premises of the Embassy of Lithuania in Dublin
20-21 May 2006 – First seminar on the improvement of management capabilities for members of ALB is held in Dundalk
16-18 June 2006 – The second convention of European Lithuanian communities and their Lithuanian schools “Draugystes Tiltas” is organised and hosted by ALB in Maynooth, co. Kildare
7-10 August 2006 – the 13th convention of the Lithuanian World Community is held in Vilnius. For the first time, four delegates from ALB take part and two are elected to the Board of the Lithuanian World Community.
2 September 2006 – “LT United” – The Lithuanian entry in Eurovision 2006 – hold a concert in Dublin as a ‘thank you‘ to everyone who supported them.
23 September 2006 – the 2nd ALB convention is held in Cork.
29 September 2006 – Members of ALB meet with the Minister of Agriculture for Lithuania, Prof. K. Prunskiene, on her visit to Ireland.
26-27 October 2006 – members of ALB participate in seminar “Education among emigrants. Collaboration with Lithuanian institutions and their representatives abroad” in Madrid, Spain
20-21 November 2006 – The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. P. Vaitiekunas meets ALB members in Dublin. 25 November 2006 – Lithuanians in Ireland gather for the “Geriausia, ką turime Airijoje” (The Best That We Have in Ireland) awards presentation in Galway.
4 December 2006 – Laura Garbataviciute-Down presents her book, „Pasiilgau... (arba) Mes vienas kito angelai” (I miss you …[or] We are each others Angels) in the Seimas (Parliament) of the Republic of Lithuania in Vilnius.
5 December 2006 – members of ALB meet the Minister of Science and Education for Lithuania, Mrs. R. Zakaitiene in Vilnius, Lithuania
7 December 2006 – two identical Christmas Trees are illuminated simultaneously in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, and Dublin.
15 December 2006 – the presentation of the book „Pasiilgau... (arba) Mes vienas kito angelai“ at the Lithuanian embassy in Ireland
27 January 2007 – Lithuanians in Ireland enter the National Dictation 2007 event broadcast live over the internet from Vilnius Municipality of Vilnius is signed during the conference “Lithuanians in Lithuania and abroad: let’s solve problems together” held in Vilnius
9 February 2007 – members of ALB meet the Prime Minister of Lithuania Mr. G. Kirkilas in Vilnius
25 February 2007 – members of ALB take part in the official opening of the Lithuanian school in Monaghan. 6 March 2007 – by order No. V-37/S-123 of the Director of the Department of National Minorities and Lithuanians Living Abroad under The Government of the Republic of Lithuania, 6 members of ALB are awarded honorary silver medals “For Merit”
8 March 2007 – the Minister of Science and Education of Lithuania Mrs. R. Zakaitiene meets teachers of Lithuanian schools in Ireland in the premises of Embassy of Lithuania in Dublin
10-11 March 2007 – ALB, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania, organises a traditional St. Casimir’s fair in Dublin.
11 March 2007 – Official presentation of silver medals of the Department of National Minorities and Lithuanians Living Abroad of Lithuania for 6 ALB members takes place in Dublin
20 April 2007 – representatives of ALB present a donation from Lithuanians in Ireland for St. Casimir’s foster home in Kupiskis, Lithuania.
28 April 2007 – ALB cooperates with the company MyVisit in organising the Jobs and Real Estate Fair in Dublin
2 June 2007 – the initial convention of the ALB Association of Lithuanian Teachers in Ireland is held in Dublin
9-10 June 2007 – the second seminar on the improvement of management capabilities for members of ALB is organized in Dublin
1 August 2007 – the new website for ALB www.alb.ie is officially opened.
